Photo was taken in charlotte, NC at 35 12 53.58N and 80 49 20.93W. The angle is a bit difficult to calculate since I was on a small hill when I took the photo. Observation of the sighting indicated it was most likely the ISS. When I got home, I consulted the heavens above website and the position and direction of the ISS indicated on the website corresponded to the path of the object in the photograph. In addition, if you zoom in to the photo you can see two sections of light from solar panels.

hi.. just dropping by here... have a nice day! htt...

hi.. just dropping by here... have a nice day! http://kantahanan.blogspot.com

Well, I didn't look into the details about this pi...

Well, I didn't look into the details about this picture.
But you seem to have a point.

The issue doesnot appear to be very convincing. The first one was in 7 o' clock in the morning with highest altitude for easy sighting(which agrees with the "overhead" phrase in description) however the shadow of branches on tree trunk shows that Sun must be 70/80 deg up in altitude. The remaining three passes were around afternoon only but the maximum altitude remains less than 30 deg.
However, exact location of photographer, EXIF data of the image as well as accuracy of camera clock are required to further look into the issue.
